Started with just an idea, Food bank focused on feeding hungry children and their families, is now one of the prominent and highly successful projects initiated by Ziuo.

Food crisis faced by families around the nation is forcing innumerable people to go hungry. Illness, low income, redundancy, debt and unexpected costs are some of the reasons why people are forced to struggle when it comes to feed their families. This lack of food can do more harm than just physical impoverishment, leading to crimes, psychological issues and family breakdowns.

Food bank is a streamlined system that ensures that the food is collected, stored and made available to those who most genuinely need it.  Local families and communities can donate non-perishable and nutritionally balanced food at our centers, where our volunteers sort the food items and pack them. 

Identification of people who are in crisis is done with the help of social workers, health visitors and police. These people are provided vouchers, which they can exchange at our food bank centers and receive emergency food. 

Constant support by individuals and communities is accredited for making this humble initiative started by Ziuo, a success. Our aim is to feed everyone with healthy food and help people face challenges of life through sharing and community support.
